Coach Play lands in Harajuku Tokyo – Celebrating Community and Localization

Coach’s pop-up store like Playland opens in Harajuku for a limited time. Bringing the spirit of New York, Coach’s hometown, to the pop taste of Harajuku. The colorful store is full of fun tricks. The store concept is the second series of the concept stores, it takes an interactive approach encouraging customers to ‘play’ and explore the spaces informed by the local community and infused with rich New York history. Inspired by Harajuku’s kawaii culture, the store features a bold pink facade made from branded coach bricks, along with local elements such as bespoke neon designs, created in collaboration with a local Japanese neon shop, and a uniquely kawaii color palette. The space also features gamified elements, with a special claw game featured within its window featuring all of the favorite Coach bags, in miniature. Inspired by the Japanese kawaii culture the store features a bold facade made of 3C Coach bricks.
