Rimowa’s larger-than-life suitcases lands in Los Angeles.
The luxury luggage brand joined forces with Alex Israel, a local artist, to create the brand’s first collection of color-graded suitcases based on the iconic aluminium Rimowa Original.
The first-time collaboration draws on innovative new printing techniques, borrowing the bright sunset color palette of his paintings Sky Backdrop and Flat.
In honor of the new collaboration, you can venture inside a 20-foot rendition of the suitcase, which brings the concept of experiential to a whole another level. The installation was designed and produced by PRODJECT.
You can find the limited edition suitcases inspired by the artist’s sky backdrop paintings, at the Frieze Art Fair in Los Angeles starting February 14th from 11am-6pm.
