In collaboration with Wade & Leta, for Art Basel 2021 in Miami, and a live performance during the Basel event. "All it took was four days in Miami, 1 scissor lift, 1 slide, 2 floors, 21 inflatables, 1 rug, 1 Wade, and 1 Leta. We’ve been working on this project for many, many months with at Showfields and we are finally proud to present to you “Healing From Another World,” an overwhelming space overloaded with joy and color. By creating a floating universe that flows from floor 1 to floor 2 of Showfields Miami’s historical space, we’ve created a captivating visual experience that encourages everyone to observe it from high, low, near, far, in, out, and around. Our inflatables vary in size and shape and create plenty of diversity in silhouette throughout the space. We reference fluidity and bounciness, thinking about how bubbles disperse within water. We’re excited to inject Showfields’ white canvas with a little bit of Wade and Leta shape and color play! Our fingers are a little tired from all the wire crimping, but overall, we’re feeling refreshed and rejuvenated now that we’ve been able to leave our mark in Miami in colorful fashion.
