Prada Brings Re-Nylon Collection to Selfridges Corner Shop

Prada is set to take over the Corner Shop section of Selfridges from August 17, returning to the famous retailer with a full Re-Nylon collection. Prada initially announced the launch of Re-Nylon in 2019, revealing how the sustainable material was constructed from plastic waste collected from oceans, fishing nets and textile fiber waste.

The Re-Nylon collection available at Selfridges features classic Prada pieces, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear as well as accessories, created from black regenerated nylon. The Corner Shop space will emphasize the collection’s sustainable focus, featuring short films from National Geographic along with animations of natural elements and showing the process of creating Re-Nylon.

Prada’s Corner Shop pop-up marks the beginning of Selfridges’ new Project Earth initiative, which will see sustainability become front and center in how the store operates. Announcing the Prada Corner Shop, Selfridges Executive Buying and Merchandising Director Sebastian Manes said, “The Prada Re-Nylon project brings circularity to life by teaming creativity with sustainable product innovation in the Selfridges Corner Shop. Prada brings vision to all elements of its business — sustainability is no exception — I am delighted that through this unique concept developed for our sustainability initiative Project Earth, we are able to share that vision with customers.”
