Coinciding with its tenth anniversary, New York City-based jewellery brand Alison Lou has opened a boutique smack in the middle of Manhattan. Occupying a 490 sq.ft. (46 sqm.) unit on the ground floor of The Mark hotel, a. beacon of unadulterated Old World chic hospitality on the Upper East Side, the boutique sees a collaborative interior design by Alison Lou owner and creative director Alison Chemla and the brand’s project manager Jessica Hyland. Similar to its showroom and headquarters which opened its doors a few blocks south two years ago, the design is anchored by a bright red hue captured by the flooring, a low bench, and the inside of an upholstered archway at the back of the premises. The wide range of Alison Lou jewellery is showcased in recessed wall displays and wall-mounted cabinets with drawers clad in gold-coloured metal that tie in with the sales counter covered in the same material.
