Louis Vuitton’s “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez” exhibition Lands in New York City

From the Grand Palais in Paris, to Kioicho in Tokyo, to Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, the “Voguez, Volez, Voyagez” exhibition by Louis Vuitton is officially landing in New York City where the former American Stock Exchange building will provide a grand backdrop for the exhibition’s nine-week run.

Curated by Olivier Saillard, the exhibition retraces the adventure of the House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to modern day. A story told through the portraits of its founders, as well as those who today are inventing the Louis Vuitton of tomorrow. The French brand will showcase its heritage and contribution to lifestyle, travel and fashion.

The exhibition will put on display the first trunks from 1906, classic trunks, travel connection, Gaston-Louis Vuitton’’s antique personal collection, beauty essentials, fine fragrances, delicate jewelry boxes, archival items that belonged to well-known clients such as Ernest Hemingway, Lauren Bacall, F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well as the Rockefeller and Vanderbilt families, and much more.

The historic journey, designed by Robert Carsen, is divided into ten chapters, one of which is entirely devoted to the United States of America and New York City. Since the tour opens with the most symbolic object of the House: the trunk, check out WindowsWear’s exclusive collection of Louis Vuitton’s window displays featuring trunks that embody the iconic hallmarks and bold spirit of the French brand.
