Louis Vuitton’’s Surf-Themed Pop-Up is a Mini Tropical Vacation

Kim Jones might have left Louis Vuitton, but his summer vibes are still very much alive at the brand’’s pop-up shop in New York City. The luxury ready-to-wear brand launched a tropical-themed pop-up shop not only in New York City, but across the country to warm us up during these bitter cold winter months.

Inspired by exotic islands, the festive Men’’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection is accompanied by palm trees, graphic surfboards, and a floral-printed jeep. The interweaving of the palm trees bordering the windows gives the ultimate tropical vibe.

With sunset colored walls blended into the aqua-blue floors, customers will feel as if they are a part of a journey through the magical Caribbean islands.

Kim Jones, previous Men’’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, shared how his inspiration behind the art of travel with this season’s venture, ““I thought of specific islands – New Zealand, Easter Island, and especially Hawaii – but I was also inspired by the idea of an island, and of travel. Of moving easily from place to place, and experiencing these different pockets of civilization, these different identities simultaneously.”” The traveling pop-up kicked off in January in Miami and will close out in New York City on March 15th.
