Kate Spade New York Brings a Strawberry-Filled Summer Dream to Rockefeller Center

Kate Spade New York is embracing the sweetness of summer with a playful new window installation at Rockefeller Center that transforms the season into a whimsical visual escape.

Set against a serene English Sea blue backdrop, the display centers on the brand’s signature woven Duo bag, reimagined at an oversized scale and overflowing with vibrant red strawberries. The fruit appears to spill effortlessly from the handbag, cascading into soft mounds below and creating the illusion of a summer harvest frozen in time.

Spanning five windows, the immersive installation expands on the theme with larger-than-life accessories, cheerful pops of seasonal color, and charming strawberry motifs woven throughout the storytelling. An oversized Duo bag adorned with a strawberry charm serves as a focal point, while surrounding scenes evoke idyllic berry fields meeting the seaside—a surreal yet distinctly Kate Spade interpretation of summer.

The display balances fantasy and craftsmanship, combining bold visual merchandising with playful storytelling to create a moment of delight for passersby. Equal parts nostalgic and contemporary, the installation captures the carefree spirit that has long defined the brand’s aesthetic.

Brought to life in collaboration with production partner Pink Sparrow and Kate Spade New York’s Global Visual Experience team, the activation showcases the power of experiential retail to turn a storefront into a destination. Through scale, color, and imaginative design, the windows invite visitors to step into a world where summer lingers a little longer—and strawberries are always in season.
