Coach Brings Playful Luxury to London with “Charm Playground” at Selfridges

Coach is reimagining retail through a lens of nostalgia and customization with its latest immersive concept, “Coach Charm Playground,” now open at Selfridges Corner Shop.

A Playground of Personalization

Taking over the Corner Shop, Coach transforms the space into a high-energy, interactive environment centered around one of its fastest-growing categories: bag charms. The concept leans into the idea of personalization as self-expression, inviting visitors to build, customize, and curate their own accessories in real time.

Rather than a traditional retail setup, the space is designed as a “playground”—a tactile, exploratory destination where product becomes experience. Bright colors, modular displays, and interactive stations encourage customers to engage with charms as collectible objects, not just add-ons.

Rexy Takes Center Stage

At the heart of the installation is Rexy, Coach’s beloved dinosaur mascot, brought to life in oversized form as a central visual anchor. The character—already a cult favorite across accessories—becomes both a branding device and a social media magnet, reinforcing the playful, slightly irreverent tone of the activation.

Surrounding the installation, a wide assortment of charms—from whimsical creatures to embellished icons—highlights Coach’s push into high-margin, highly customizable product categories that resonate with Gen Z and younger luxury consumers.

The space spotlights Coach’s signature Tabby bag, which has been reimagined as a larger-than-life interactive product display that doubles as a monogramming station.

De Bortoli Albricci said the space has been designed to feel “dynamic and evolving, with a program of curated moments and live activations that keep it fresh and culturally relevant throughout the residency. It’s about creating an experience that people want to spend time in — one that reflects our focus on craft, creativity and self-expression in a way that feels both engaging and uniquely Coach.”
