Claridge’s has unveiled its 2025 Christmas Tree, this year imagined by Burberry Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee, who brings a distinctly British lens to one of London’s most beloved holiday traditions. Rising 16 feet tall in the hotel’s lobby, the tree is a study in craftsmanship, heritage, and storytelling—dressed in sweeping bows made from surplus Burberry fabrics, a nod to the Victorian era’s emblem of unity. Wild greenery and thistle, the national flower of Scotland, weave through the branches, subtly echoing the Highlands where Burberry’s iconic cashmere scarves are woven. The palette and textures draw from the raw beauty of the U.K.’s landscapes, transporting an outdoor spirit into Claridge’s marble-lined heart.
Brass bells inspired by Burberry’s Equestrian Knight Design chime gently among the branches, paired with hand-blown glass baubles created by a British artisan. At the tree’s summit sits a gleaming gold crown, while its base forms a cozy tableau of oversized chess pieces, plush cushions, and layered blankets—a whimsical yet grounded scene that invites guests to linger. With its blend of folklore, fashion, and British charm, the installation reinforces Claridge’s long-held reputation as a holiday landmark for Londoners and international visitors.
Burberry’s presence extends throughout the hotel this season. Doormen wear Burberry Check scarves, lift interiors have been refreshed with check-patterned upholstery, and the signature motif appears on room key holders. In Claridge’s Bar, guests can order a special Burberry cocktail, while festive confectionery trolleys circulate with sweets wrapped in miniature check cones.
A standout collectible accompanies the collaboration: a limited-edition bauble featuring Claridge’s iconic Bell Boy Teddy Bear dressed in a Burberry trench coat and scarf. Only 300 hand-painted pieces have been produced and are available exclusively through the hotel’s shop.
To complement the tree, Burberry has also launched a ground-floor pop-up celebrating its heritage of outerwear and scarves. The Scarf Bar highlights the brand’s craftsmanship with an assortment of cashmere and silk designs spanning classic checks, seasonal hues, and archival patterns. Visitors will also find holiday-ready gifts—from outerwear and knitwear to bags, rainwear, and small leather goods—mirrored in a dedicated window installation near the hotel entrance. The pop-up will welcome guests at Claridge’s on Brook Street in Mayfair through 4 January 2026.
