Acne Studios has opened a new boutique in Vancouver at Oakridge Park, bringing the Swedish fashion house’s latest retail concept to one of the city’s most prominent luxury destinations. Located on the ground floor of the development and flanked by boutiques from Giorgio Armani, Alexander Wang and Longchamp, the new store occupies a lofty Level 1 unit designed to reflect the brand’s evolving architectural language.
The Vancouver boutique marks another collaboration between Acne Studios creative director Jonny Johansson and Stockholm-based architecture practice Halleröd, whose work for the brand has helped establish a distinctive retail environment that balances industrial precision with sculptural, tactile elements.
The store’s exterior is defined by a façade clad in pink granite, introducing a warm and distinctive material presence within the luxury retail setting. Inside, the design shifts toward a sharper architectural expression, with geometric stainless steel fixtures and furnishings creating a sleek, structured framework for the collections.
This polished aesthetic is contrasted by a series of organically shaped custom pieces by London-based designer Max Lamb. Their sculptural forms introduce a more expressive dimension to the otherwise restrained interior. Complementing them are understated light fixtures by French designer Benoît Lalloz, whose minimalist approach reinforces the store’s balance between functionality and visual simplicity.
Stainless steel is a recurring material throughout the boutique, appearing across a tiered shelving unit, display cabinets, sales counter and a series of clothing racks lining the walls. The cohesive material palette gives the space a contemporary, almost gallery-like quality while placing emphasis on the clothing and accessories.
The new Acne Studios boutique offers both men’s and women’s collections, including the brand’s signature denim styles, the Midsummer capsule and a selection of accessories. The Vancouver opening further expands Acne Studios’ presence in Canada while introducing local shoppers to the brand’s newest retail design codes.
