A Fresh Scent for Madrid: Byredo Unveils Its Revamped Boutique

Published October 7, 2026

Swedish luxury fragrance house Byredo has reopened its boutique at Calle de Claudio Coello 73 in Madrid’s fashionable Salamanca district, introducing a refreshed retail concept that brings together fragrance, architecture, and contemporary design. Originally opened in 2021 as the brand’s first flagship in Spain, the boutique has been reimagined as a more intimate and immersive destination for discovering Byredo’s expanding universe of scents and beauty products.

Designed by Byredo’s in-house architecture team, the renovated space takes inspiration from museums, treating each product as an object worthy of display. Carefully considered lighting highlights the collections and materials, while a striking forest-green palette draws inspiration from traditional Swedish folk paintings, offering an unexpected departure from conventional Scandinavian minimalism. A dedicated seating area encourages visitors to slow down and explore fragrances at their own pace, while expansive storefront windows connect the boutique’s visual storytelling with the street outside.

The reopening also coincides with the introduction of Future Memories, a new fragrance created by perfumer Quentin Bisch. Together, the redesigned boutique and fragrance launch reinforce Byredo’s approach to retail as an emotional and sensory experience, where architecture becomes as expressive as the products themselves.
