David McDermid
David is a professor and program co-ordinator of the Seneca Visual Merchandising Arts program. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the areas of store design, window/interior visual presentation, and showrooms/exhibit installations. David has a Visual Presentation diploma from the College of Commerce, Glasgow, Scotland. This was in conjunction with an apprenticeship program. Prior to working at Seneca in 1989, David worked for major fashion companies throughout Canada and had his own freelance display company, which he started in 1984. David has also taught visual merchandising at Ryerson and Sheridan.
