With New York Fashion Week in full swing, every fashion VIP is only a shutter click away, but that doesn’t mean front row show-goers aren’t in need of a midweek wardrobe refresh. Not to worry, Saks Fifth Avenue to the rescue.
On Friday September 8, 2017 at 7:30 PM Saks Fifth Avenue turned the red carpet into the runway and the audience into stars. Saks Fifth Avenue hosted a lavish soiree last night to celebrate their recently renovated third floor reopening.
Outside, the store’s famous windows were gussied up with the latest collections from Céline, Chanel, Dior, Valentino, and Miu Miu to name few. The cheeky twist, however, was inside the windows the mannequins were seated amongst live models wearing the latest collections and the passersby were the real show.
The reverse runway show set up on Manhattan’s famed Fifth Avenue during New York Fashion Week was live streamed via Saks Fifth Avenue’s social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook Live with #saksrunway allowing guests to interact.
Inside the store guests, including Chloë Sevigny, Doutzen Kroes, and Kate Mara, browsed the racks of the new third floor and chatted with president Marc Metrick and chief merchant Tracy Margolies.
Afterwards, Goldfrapps performance prompted a very stylish dance party with only the chicest-clad guests, who danced late into the night.
