Tommy Bahama brought its Spring 2026 concept, “A Daydream Away: Tropical Everyday Escape,” to life through a Mediterranean-inspired window and interior store experience.
The installation centered on white-to-blue ombré palm trees, vessels, and graphics, creating a cohesive visual treatment throughout the space. The palm trees were clad in raw denim and sprayed with paint to achieve the final ombré effect. The design team explored four different ombré versions before landing on the final three-color transition.
The palm tree, an icon of the Tommy Bahama brand, also carried a history of its own. Originally introduced as a Denim Palm for the brand’s Indigo Palms launch two years ago, the piece has been transformed and repurposed several times since its production.
Winston Retail served as the design, production, and VM execution partner for the project, fully designing and executing the windows, store layout, in-store displays and props, and styled mannequins, as well as developing the directives and inspiration behind the experience.
The project took three months to plan, prototype, and bring from initial design inspiration through final installation.
