City!
For Issey Miyake’s summer concept, Visual Citi fabricated an immersive sculptural display that balances softness and structure — transforming a minimal palette into a bold visual frame.
Fabricated Elements:
Oversized Frame Wall – CNC-cut EPS foam structure, routed for a pass-through opening. Internally reinforced with multi-layered plywood supports and a steel base plate for balance and stability.
Surface Finish – All exterior and interior faces wrapped in PETG and finished with digitally printed vinyl (matte finish), precisely hand-applied to eliminate seams.
Vinyl Panel Inlays – Red accent strips printed and cut in four custom lengths, trimmed to align flush along the inner contours of the frame.
Greeting Panel – Direct-printed white sintra, with floating effect created using a rear-mounted sintra spacer block.
Clear Acrylic Accents – laser-cut clear acrylic shapes, mounted as secondary floating layers within the frame.
Installation:
Components were assembled and pre-wrapped at Visual Citi’s shop, following a step-by-step construction sequence for material layering and structural integration.
Protective films were removed on-site after final placement.
Frame designed for seamless rigging, clean footprint, and reversible breakdown.
Quietly bold. Materially precise. Sculpted by Visual Citi for Issey Miyake.
