American Museum of Natural History Museums Virtual/Augmented Reality New York, US May 2023
This exhibition combines unique, fine art jewelry and couture fashion that take inspiration from the natural world. A collection of the jewelry alone, “Beautiful Creatures”, was curated by Marion Fasel and mounted by the American Museum of Natural History during the summer of 2021. I chose to curate an abstract, monochromatic, interpretation of habitats that displays creatures living in those areas. I have designed an immersive habitat, to give an almost ethereal feel to the whole space. The visitor is immersed in the environment and has the opportunity to interact with the exhibit by using AR technology that brings each creature to life.
