Bvlgari New York
The construction of Bvlgari’s Flagship included the reinforcement of ground floor grade beams, existing stone façade portals to receive the new storefront, and multiple floor openings to accommodate duct risers. The facade work involved a dramatic, one-of-a-kind mesh pattern of diamond shaped insulated units set in a structural frame and clad in brass. In front of this and offset on 3” studs is an intricately patterned “Rain Screen” with handmade brass rosettes and computer-controlled LEDs at every intersection. The system was prefabricated in Italy, shipped in dozens of crates, sorted out, wired, and installed on site. Architect: Peter Marino.
