A SURREAL SENSORY FEAST
One of my favorite art + brand immerse experiences was the “Surreal Feast” imagined for Spiceology last year at SHOWFIELDS Noho.
I wanted to re-imagine the magic cooking scene from #bewitched #Wandavision but in a dining room experience to capture the flavors through a sensory surreal artistic lens, playing on scale, texture, finishes with oversized sculptures depicting the spices ingredients mashed up with the sensory human portals such as the eyes, mouth, ears, etc.
The most meaningful part of this project is working with the incredible talent that made it all happen, here they are proudly highlighted:
Veronica Gallinger & Frankie Twigs ; two of my favorite artisans / women artists who I have been working with for years and couldn’t trust anyone more to create the commissioned sculptures.
Paige Goodings , Andrew Carter & Leah Plotkins who were the producer extraordinaire on this project.
Maggie McNeill who was able to beautifully capture the vision and bring it to life through the spatial design.
