Versace Eros Point of Purchase Display
For our Fabrication Techniques class, we were asked to design and build a flat pack Point of Purchase display to promote a product of our choice using recycled or repurpose materials. For my project, I chose to create a display that featured Versace's Eros fragrance. I designed a two-piece displayer to make travelling and assembling easier. My design requires no tools to put together; all you need to do is slide the backdrop onto the platform to keep it in place. Instead of an actual piece of marble, I used lightweight materials such as plywood covered with a marble finish vinyl sticker to make it compact and light. For the backdrop, I used acrylic paint to paint an MDF board. I made use of an acrylic sheet with gold leaf for the next layer, and foam board wrapped in vinyl sticker for the final piece. Most of the materials that I have used are all scrap pieces that I found in our school’s woodshop.
