Holiday Season Shadowbox
We had to illustrate a holiday theme and I chose to use Labor Day, which is the annual date of the West Indian Day Parade. The packages of yummy tropical island flavored ice creams represent the colorful, sexy dancers covered in feathers and rhinestones as well as the jubilant atmosphere created by the reggae, calypso and soca music blasting from the floats. I went with both minimalist and maximalist treatments.
