Rick Owens: Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman
In partnership with Rick Owens, Barneys New York replicated the designer’s show, “Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman”, originally on display at the Trienelle di Milano in Milan, Italy. The exhibition celebrated Owen’s career and evolution as an artist and featured land art installations, pieces from his fashion archives, film, graphics, and more. A recreation of the designer’s “Earth Work” sculpture took over each of Barneys New York’s Madison Avenue windows. A simulated “Mud Room” filled the interior of the Downtown window while video screens played archival runway videos. (Video reel by Jeremy Kotin Productions)
