Times Square Exhibition
Since the Corona Virus Pandemic arrived in the United States Times Square’s visitation has dramatically decreased, and the city is determined to bring back visitors. The Museum of the City of New York, the New York Public Library, and the New York Times are working together to create an outdoor exhibition, in Bryant Park, that will encourage both tourists and locals to visit Times Square today. Times Square was renamed when the New York Times moved its headquarters to the area in 1905. Much like how newspapers are used to deliver information on current events, the exhibition will use large scale newspapers to deliver the history of Times Square to visitors. Fun activities replicating newspapers will be incorporated into the exhibit to make it fun and entertaining.
