The night included special guest appearances by Maggie Gyllenhaal, Zoey Deutch, Kate Mara, Emma Roberts, Lourdes Leon, Coco Rocha, Ashley Benson, Joan Smalls, Anna Cathcart, Dascha Polanco, Nikki Rodriguez, among others, DJ set by The Misshapes, as well as interactive activations, including a drone delivery which brought the new bag in from the front door directly into the hands of Jeremy Scott on the third floor of the building, flying over guests’ head to the audience’s delight.
The new design transforms the iconic Le Pliage silhouette into a vibrant postcard-inspired tribute to New York City, featuring a stylized Manhattan skyline on the front and a handwritten message on the back reading: “Wish you were here! Love, Jeremy.” Longchamp’s two-decade long relationship with Scott is a feature in the “Hidden Treasures: 250 of Franco-American Luxury Stories,” a new exhibition curated by the French luxury association Comité Colbert at The Shed in New York City open to the public until May 31. The presentation includes a bag from one of their previous collaborations – a bag mirroring the postcard style of the new drop, only offering Greetings from Paris, rather than New York – and highlights the longstanding creative dialogue between France and the United States, while emphasizing Longchamp’s commitment to French savoir-faire, craftsmanship, and its high standards of built-to-last quality.
