Coach today announces the opening of "Coach Play Macau", the latest iteration of the immersive concept store series located in the historic heart of Macau, China. Blending the house’s New York heritage with unique local charm, the store continues the brand’s vision of craft, imagination, and storytelling through interactive experiences rooted in discovery and self-expression. Located in Pátio Fu Van, the space celebrates the rich cultural texture of Macau with a playful Coach twist, reimagining 1970s Milanese architecture through oversized objects, vibrant colors, and experiential activations. Industrial and avant-garde styles come together to create a functional yet artistic environment featuring textured wooden screens, contrasting materials, and locally inspired tilework reflecting Macau’s unique Portuguese influence. A playful nod to the house’s city roots, visitors can find an iconic New York taxi displayed across both floors, The space’s bright yellow palette—echoed throughout Macau’s architecture—is balanced with natural wood tones for a dynamic atmosphere. Touching on the spirit of imagination and cultural intersection at the heart of the Coach Play series, the location prominently spotlights the work of Macau-based artist Lam Ieong Kun, who vibrantly explores the cultural intersections that connect Macau and New York. Accordingly, Coach Play Macau features local symbols and phenonmena such as Casa da Cheang, Calçada Portuguesa, almond cookies, and the Drunken Dragon Dance alongside with house codes and New York icons inclduing Rexy, Coach Signaure, the Empire State Building, and food trucks. To celebrate the opening, guests are invited to engage with interactive installations including an in-store photo booth and limited-edition Macau-themed postcards—one-of-a-kind keepsakes inspired by the spirit of play.
