Materials application in interior decorating
For my final assignment on Finishes & Sustainable Issues, I have provided design elements that meet my client's requirements for luxury gateway hotels in Europe and the Middle East. As part of the assignment, I was required to ensure that at least 25% of all finishes were environmentally friendly selections. Additionally, I selected two materials from the Material ConneXion Library. For the floor finishing, I designed a pattern reflected in the colour plan. I made sure to use approximately 75% sustainable materials in this project. Incorporating sustainable materials into the design was a priority as it aligns with the growing importance of sustainability in the interior design industry. By selecting from the Material ConneXion Library, I could access various innovative and sustainable materials that enhance the design's aesthetic appeal while meeting sustainability goals. It is crucial to continue exploring new and innovative materials and design techniques that prioritize sustainability to ensure the success of future projects.
