A/D/O Neotenic Design
This was a project at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Styling Mannequin class. The project was about creating a teaser window for the chosen gallery or museum and our group worked with one of the exhibition from A/D/O gallery. Cute and fleshy, sweet and soft, the design brings the childlike characters of the A/D/O’s neotenic design exhibition into the window. Transforming the chairs and light fixture into the child mannequins, each mannequin represents its identity with unique texture. The design includes three primary features: thickened forms; soft or rounded terminations; and mono-materials. Designed by Sungmi Na, Jeongin Nam, Christine Espinal, Christian Araya.
