New York Study Tour

New York City is a premier luxury marketplace, providing key leadership in the design, development, marketing, branding, finance, and retailing of luxury brands (Personal Luxury, Luxury Transportation, Experiential Luxury).

The first New York City Study Tour, an important component of the Global Luxury Management program, occurred during Fall Break 2013, providing students with “real world” learning experiences, combined with an opportunity to meet and learn from key global luxury industry executives.

The 2014 New York Study tour takes place the October 7-9 and provides the following experiences for GLM students:

Networking reception with the GLM Industry Advisory Board at the Italian Trade agency, hosted by IAB member Alberto Milano, Buccellati

Private showroom visits to Ralph Lauren, Holland & Sherry, and Vietri

Networking social with the New York-based Young Luxury Marketing Council, hosted by Greg Furman, IAB and founder and chairman of The Luxury Marketing Council

Industry panel discussion hosted by Alberto Milani, chief executive officer of Buccellati-Americas Tour of the Time Warner Medialab Walking Tour, including discussions about and stops at: Macy's, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Louis Vuitton, Barneys and Bloomingdale's

Retail and corporate tours with brands like Buccellati, Ralph Lauren, and Dolce and Gabbana GLM alumni networking event hosted by Ralph Lauren at Ralph Lauren Women's and Home flagship store, Madison Avenue In addition, GLM students will participate in the inaugural GLM New York Study Tour Career Fair, featuring executives from brands like Richemont, Tiffany's, Ralph Laurent and Esquel.
