Paris: Cafe Kitsune Opening

Understanding early on the multifaceted and interconnected aspects lifestyle, the Maison Kitsuné brand had a head start developing and fine-tuning its popular music, fashion and hospitality divisions, and unsurprisingly, it continues to expand its operations. The latest addition is a new Café Kitsuné outpost in the Marais district of Paris, and this one, comes with a coffee roasting facility on the premises. Following the opening of such a facility in Okayama last year, this is the company’s very first on the Old Continent. Occupying a ground floor unit of a five-storey building structure built in 1875, it features a new wooden façade and interior created by Maison Kitsuné‘s in-house design team. The setting is contemporary yet infused with a distinct Japanese sensibility, and as such, it sees an infusion of timber. A full-fledged bar takes centre stage, and is flanked by counters with additional leather-clad stools. At the back of Café Kitsuné, within sight for all patrons, the coffee roasting machine is situated, managed by the artisan roaster Florian Decousser. The menu lists a wide range of classic coffee concoctions such as cappuccino, espresso and flat white, in addition to teas, juices, and even ice cream and pastries. Die-hard coffee aficionados will be able to join themed workshops held regularly on Saturdays, while the Kitsuné fanbase can also stock up on brand memorabilia such as cups, saucers and mugs.
