Moncler Brings Its Mountain Spirit to Fifth Avenue for a New York Celebration

Published September 9, 2026

For New York Fashion Week, Moncler is celebrating its longstanding relationship with the city with a striking new visual experience at its Fifth Avenue flagship. The installation brings the brand’s signature language of winter-ready outerwear into a distinctly New York setting, transforming the storefront and interior into an immersive expression of the city-meets-mountain aesthetic.

The display features sculptural figures dressed in Moncler’s padded outerwear, positioned among towering textured columns that resemble the trunks of a dense winter forest. Suspended at varying heights, the figures create a sense of movement and elevation, while reflective flooring and floor-to-ceiling glass amplify the installation and its surrounding cityscape. The effect is part fashion presentation, part architectural landscape.

Inside, the experience takes an even more playful turn. A monumental puffer sculpture takes center stage, its voluminous silhouette constructed in icy blue and finished with bold red-and-white striped detailing. Surrounded by mirrored walls, the sculptural piece becomes an exaggerated interpretation of Moncler’s iconic down-filled aesthetic, reflecting the brand’s ability to transform functional outerwear into something distinctly theatrical.

The installation arrives as Moncler celebrates “New York in Moncler,” a citywide retrospective running September 9–13 that looks back at more than two decades of the brand’s relationship with New York. Large-scale photographs are being displayed throughout the city, culminating in an exhibition at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall.

The Fifth Avenue installation also marks an important new chapter for the house. Located at 767 Fifth Avenue in the General Motors Building, Moncler’s new flagship is its largest worldwide, spanning two floors and bringing together Moncler Collection, Moncler Genius, footwear, and Moncler Grenoble. The architecture itself draws on the dialogue between the Alps and Manhattan, with soaring ceilings referencing both mountain peaks and New York skyscrapers.

Together, the storefront and interior installations capture the spirit of New York in Moncler: a meeting of alpine heritage and metropolitan energy. Against the backdrop of Fifth Avenue, Moncler turns its winter codes into a visual celebration of the city that has become an important part of the brand’s story.
