Girlfriend Collective Pop-up
The Girlfriend Collective pop-up store proposal aims to create an immersive retail experience for customers that reflects the brand's core values of sustainability, inclusivity, and community. I want to create a retail space that makes the customers feel connected to the brand’s image. The signature lime green of the brand will be the main color of the space. As I want to utilize and optimize the space as much as possible, we propose creating a flexible, multi-functional design by using curtains and ceiling rails. Looking at the axon views of the store design, the three oval are the transformable spaces. When customers want to try on the clothes, the curtains will close around the oval shape and create a private fitting room. When the fitting room is not being used, the curtain will slide away and open up that space to support our events such as yoga classes where we want to occupy as many customers as possible. The ceiling rail continues on the right side of the space where it will transform into clothes racks to display the products. This pop-up will utilize recycled material for the space. Such as recycled textiles and recycled metals. The display tables are made from recycled wooden crates. On the very end of the site, there’s a small platform that is six steps higher than the rest of the space which naturally creates a stage that the instructor of the events can use to lead the class. When there are no events, the stage will become a social area. There will be three main social media-worthy areas. The entrance will be a perfect place to allow customers to take photos against the mirror with the lime green curtain in the background. The stage in the back would be a big seating area for customers to socialize and also interact with the customized station. The wall on the left side of the stores will be covered in lime-green interactive art installations which is a wall of curtains that are made with threads. Customers are welcome to grab recycled textiles to braid into the curtain installation. With a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and community, this Girlfriend Collective pop-up will be a great opportunity for the brand to further strengthen the girlfriend community.
