Sweet Escape
Each semester, the entirely student-run boutique, MPorium at Marist, comes up with a new visual concept for our brick-and-mortar space. The Spring 2023 theme is “Sweet Escape,” which pulls inspiration from a European summer vacation as students, faculty, and staff are longing for warmer and brighter days. MPorium at Marist offers an escape from reality with a bright color story featuring pinks, oranges, and blues. Props such as citrus fruit jars, travel books, a whitewashed bench, and even a beach umbrella and chair create an immersive experience for shoppers, allowing them to enter our idea of a “Sweet Escape.” The product is thoughtfully merchandised throughout the store, featuring a variety of brands and student-work in the categories of: ready-to-wear, wellness, jewelry, accessories, men’s, snacks, stationery, and home decor.
