FlexMirror – Mirrored Architectural Installation Using Lightweight Mirror Systems

FlexMirror presented a mirrored installation at EuroShop 2026 in Düsseldorf, creating a space formed entirely with mirror surfaces.

The installation demonstrated how large-scale mirror elements can alter the visual perception of architectural and retail environments. Walls and ceiling were constructed using FlexMirror mirror panels, forming a continuous mirrored surface that visually expanded the surrounding space.

A key aspect of the installation was its structural approach. The environment was built using FlexMirror mirror elements as a self-supporting structure, without a traditional supporting substructure. This configuration illustrates the structural capabilities of the system while also reducing the amount of supporting material required.

FlexMirror’s lightweight mirror technology allows the creation of large reflective surfaces without the weight and safety limitations associated with conventional glass mirrors. Individual mirror elements can reach widths of up to three meters, with lengths that can extend significantly depending on the installation.

The installation received a Special Mention at the AIT Trendscouting Awards, which recognize selected concepts presented during the exhibition.

FlexMirror has nearly 50 years of experience working with architects, designers, and brands on mirrored environments used in retail spaces, exhibitions, museums, art installations, and stage design.
