Bergdorf Goodman’s iconic Fifth Avenue windows have been transformed for the debut of Chanel’s Métiers d’art 2026 collection, creating an immersive streetscape inspired by the energy and movement of New York City.
Conceived as a cinematic interpretation of the collection’s runway setting, the installation evokes the experience of a train moving through a metropolitan station. Multi-screen displays span the windows, presenting shifting urban scenes that capture the rhythm, spontaneity, and constant motion synonymous with New York. The layered presentation blurs the line between fashion display and storytelling, inviting passersby into a world that feels both theatrical and unmistakably familiar.
Against this dynamic backdrop, key looks from Matthieu Blazy’s inaugural Métiers d’art collection for Chanel are showcased as moments of stillness amid the city’s momentum. Rich textures, intricate embellishments, and finely crafted silhouettes are framed within the immersive environments, emphasizing the dialogue between exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary urban life.
The window takeover continues Bergdorf Goodman’s longstanding tradition of transforming its Fifth Avenue façade into a destination for visual storytelling. By channeling the spirit of New York’s streets and transit systems, the installation offers a fitting stage for a collection rooted in artistry, movement, and the enduring craft traditions that define Chanel’s Métiers d’art.
