In Düsseldorf, the L&S Group presented its Flow Pop-Up, bringing the atmosphere of the company’s Flow showroom into an exhibition environment. The installation explored the relationship between lighting, architecture, and modular retail systems.
Rather than functioning as a conventional booth, the Flow Pop-Up was conceived as a spatial narrative where light shaped the environment, modular structures created rhythm, and architectural elements worked together as part of a unified composition. During the exhibition, the space drew attention from architects, designers, retailers, and industry professionals interested in contemporary retail environments.
At the center of the concept was the collaboration between L&S, Visplay, and Flux, which together form the L&S Group. The project combined expertise in lighting systems and modular retail structures, presenting a shared approach to spaces where technology, structure, and design operate as an integrated system.
Within the Flow Pop-Up, visitors encountered a selection of products and systems, including:
-
Spatio System, a freestanding modular grid structure
-
Adaptive Light Spot, a lighting technology designed to render product colors with precision
-
Thin Line, a vertical modular shelving system with concealed wiring
-
Xero 4 Evo, wireless electrified shelves with configurable layouts
-
Illuminated Panels and SEG Light Boxes
-
A revised Control System for managing lighting installations
Together, these elements illustrated how lighting systems can be integrated into architectural structures and retail fixtures to support product presentation and spatial design.
Beyond the product display, the installation also functioned as a meeting point during the exhibition. An Italian kitchen served coffee and breakfast in the morning, lunch during the day, and informal gatherings in the afternoon, creating a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged conversation among visitors.
Across the exhibition days, the Flow Pop-Up hosted discussions, meetings, and encounters within a space where lighting, modular structures, and architecture formed a continuous environment.
Reusable exhibition concept
The exhibition concept was also designed with reusability in mind. The systems used in the stand are part of the company’s existing showroom infrastructure and will continue to be used after the event. The trade fair installation therefore functioned as an adaptation of an existing architectural setup rather than a temporary structure.
