In celebration the 2024 WindowsWear Awards, we asked 80 diverse creatives to delve into the genesis of their imaginative journeys. Creativity, at its core, is the capacity to conceive original and valuable ideas, transcending established boundaries and thinking out of the box.

What does creativity mean to you?

To me creativity means expression. I love to find small ways to show my creativity throughout the day! Creativity and community go hand in hand because to create is to share your thoughts and expressions with others around you.

What is your first memory of being creative?

My first memory of being creative was creating A LOT of Lego cities as a child. I was always looking for new things to create and build 😊

How do you approach creativity every day?

On the daily I try to find small ways to express myself and show off creativity such as nail art, accessorizing, and dedicating time to practicing creative outlets. I try to find unique ways to connect with our brand audience and interact with them in ways that are not only creative but engaging as well

Where do you find your creativity?

Every day I am creatively inspired by my friends, my peers, and the people I observe in NYC. I’m always looking to others on what they’re wearing, who they are following, and what they are creating. I love supporting my friends creative projects

What advice would you give to someone looking to cultivate their creativity?

Be true to yourself. Your authenticity is what sets your creative pursuits apart from others! If you don’t believe in yourself and your work, it will be harder for others to do the same!

My first memory of being creative is through school projects.

How do you approach creativity every day?

I approach creativity through keeping an open mind and trying to see things through multiple lens’s.

Where do you find your creativity?

I find creativity and inspiration through fashion and art.

What advice would you give to someone looking to cultivate their creativity?

For someone looking to cultivate creativity I would say to not overthink it and just go with your gut.
