Jimmy Choo Celebrates 20th Year Anniversary as Hollywood’s Favorite Shoe Brand

The most popular shoe to ever grace the red carpet is turning twenty years old! Since their debut appearance on Princess Diana in 1996 at a gala event, Jimmy Choos have walked 46.4 miles at over 600 red carpet events and now in 2016, they’re celebrating 20 years in the business.

To mark this incredible milestone, Jimmy Choo unveils Memento, a capsule collection of shoes and accessories paying tribute to the brand’’s red carpet legacy. Available exclusively at Saks as of March 17th, the anniversary line incorporates 20 original and signature styles such as the Minny, Tizzy and the most popular shoe to ever grace the red carpet, The Lance.

““In celebration of our 20th anniversary, I have designed Memento, a tribute to the entrance-making moments that have come to define Jimmy Choo style,” says Creative Director Sandra Choi.

“The 20 shoes and bags comprising the capsule collection honour our legacy of high glamour looks, many of which have been played out over the years on the red carpet. Reimagined and designed for today, the collection is intended to thrill and delight in equal measure.”

Jimmy Choo shoes have been worn by numerous celebrities on the red carpet, including Cate Blanchett, Kate Middleton, Natalie Portman, Beyoncé, Angelina Jolie, and Julianne Moore, to name a few.

Lily James wore custom heels by the brand for the Berlin premiere of the 2015 live-action fairy tale, and Anna Kendrick wore Jimmy Choo pumps while playing the iconic princess in the 2014 film, Into the Woods.
