For the Pop In, the movement of a python is translated into a sequence of twisted timber arches, moulded in natural oak and repeated to create a continuous structure visitors can walk through.
Its outer skin is built up with around 1,200 individually positioned scales, following a controlled pattern that gives the piece its rhythm and character. The same language continues into the windows through scaled panels, Japanese-inspired framing and curved stainless-steel rails, before being adapted into a more restrained set of elements across the wider European rollout.
