Bottega Veneta – Window Display
Milan Windows 16 | Il Mio Bottega
Via Sant’Andrea is one of the quieter streets in Milan’s fashion district.
Bottega Veneta keeps the window just as restrained.
Wooden tables.
A bench.
A rail.
Almost a corner of a living room.
Two Madison bags sit beside relaxed tailoring.
A burgundy Veneto leans against the bench.
A black Andiamo waits with sunglasses and sneakers.
No model is present.
Yet a life has already begun.
This is IL MIO.
In Italian, it means “mine”.
Five bag families become five portraits, while the people themselves disappear from the glass.
What remains are clothes, shoes, bags and small personal objects.
A portrait without a name.
Then leather begins to change.
It softens with use, follows the body and loses a little of its original precision.
Fresh from the boutique, a bag can still feel unfamiliar.
Time gives it character.
Another window holds ten Alta fragrances.
Here, Intrecciato moves beyond leather and into scent, something invisible yet closer to memory.
In 1975, Bottega Veneta wrote:
“When Your Own Initials Are Enough.”
Half a century later, the thought still feels present.
Recognition is easy.
Belonging takes longer.
Some things do not need to persuade.
The feeling is simply there.
Il Mio Bottega.
