WindowsWear and Shop! Market Week 2017 Recap Events

On Tuesday, December 5 to Thursday, December 8, 2017, WindowsWear co-hosted Shop! Market Week in New York City with Shop! Association. WindowsWear was front row in all the action! From hosting events to attending and supporting fellow industry members, here are some of the highlights from Shop! Market Week 2017.


On Wednesday and Thursday, WindowsWear hosted its WindowsWear Workshop. The Workshop included diverse presentations and interesting guest speakers that covered topics such as brick-and-mortar in retail’s new paradigm, visual merchandising, the communicator of the brand, attributes of a successful retail experience, how virtual reality is changing the retail design industry, trends in retail design, retail analysis, competitive trends, and retail excursions throughout New York City.





WindowsWear also hosted its Fashion Window Walking Tour for members of Shop! Market Week. Participants included the global communications and social media team of Michael Kors, pictured below.





WindowsWear hosted presentations for over 1,000 students, teachers, and professors from FIDM, the Art Institute of Virginia Beach, Sydney TAFE, and high school students through the DECA New York Trip. The presentations highlighted entrepreneurship, marketing, and the evolution of technology in the global fashion industry.






The students of Sydney TAFE got an intimate behind the scenes look at the inner workings and magic behind Kleinfeld Bridal, including an on set cameo by Randy Fenoli, the host of TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress!





Attendees of the WindowsWear Workshop were invited to the Louis Vuitton Exhibition VOLEZ, VOGUEZ, VOYAGEZ. The exhibition retraces the adventure of the House of Louis Vuitton from 1854 to the present.

EVENTS


WindowsWear’s Co-Founders Jon Harari (CEO), Mike Niemtzow (President), and Raul Tovar (Creative Director) at the team was active at many different events. The executive team attended the 21st Annual PAVE Gala which supports retail design and visual merchandising talent and brings together retail design luminaries and industry professionals.


On Thursday, December 7th, Architectural Systems, Inc. hosted an interactive discussion during Shop! Associations Retail Design Collective, titled “Creating Experiential Spaces with Virtual Reality,” with presentations by Verizon, RYOT Studio, Bergmeyer Associates, Vera Bradley and Chipman Design Architecture. The panel discussed how retailers and leading firms are integrating VR into their design process, and was moderated by ASI President and Shop! Associations, newly named, Women of Distinction, Nancy Jackson. For more information about the event, click here.






On the evening of Thursday, December 7th, Genesis Mannequins hosted an evening cocktail party at their New York City showroom.
