As we make our way into the summer months, WindowsWear PRO begin to witness an influx of bright colours, transparent fabrics and nautical prints in designer collections. Following suit, the team at Browns Fashion envisioned a warm-weather-inspired, underwater realm to take over the South Molton Street window displays.
Browns held a design competition amongst art students from three leading universities in England: University of the Arts London (UAL), Central Saint Martins and Kingston, giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent by creating a set that would accurately portray this season’s fashion trends – whilst staying true to the Browns Fashion aesthetic.
The winning team - ‘The Dagon Collective’ from UAL - was comprised of Hollie Slaughter, James Clow, Tyrone Barton Robie and Molly Rose Butt who combined their artistic skills of graphic design, painting, photography, prop-making and illustration to expertly craft Brown's aquatic window displays.
In collaboration with creative director and artist Ivana Nohel, photographer Katherine Vafias and Joanna Galanis and the BrownsÂ’ visual merchandising team, the windows managed to turn an underwater vision into an alternate fashion realm.
