At EuroShop 2026, the German event technology company music & light design GmbH (mld) presented an exhibition booth concept combining LED media architecture, interactivity, and custom engineering.
In addition to providing technical services for multiple exhibition stands during the event, mld also installed its own booth in Hall 1, Booth C51.
60 Square Meters of LED Architecture
The booth included a walkable LED installation covering more than 60 square meters of LED surfaces.
The system incorporated LED modules from LEDiTgo and ROE Visual (Topaz series) with pixel pitches of 1.5 mm and 2.56 mm, resulting in 19,668,992 individually controlled pixels.
The installation was powered by Pandoras Box and twoloxtechnology, which synchronized media content, lighting, and sound across the structure.
Several LED cubes suspended above the booth were motorized and moved dynamically above visitors. These kinetic media elements were developed by mld and included structural engineering, safety verification, and certification.
Concept development, construction, mechanics, media content, lighting, and audio design were produced internally by the company.
The “World Cube” Interactive Element
A central interactive component of the installation was a 10 × 10 × 10 cm cube, referred to as the “World Cube,” placed on a pedestal. Each side represented a different themed environment.
When visitors rotated the cube, an RFID system detected its orientation and triggered animation sequences throughout the installation.
The sequence began with a 1.5 × 1.5 × 1.5 meter LED cube positioned on its corner, continued across the suspended LED elements, and extended across the wider LED structure.
Lighting and sound also changed according to the selected theme.
For example, in the “Jungle World” sequence, plant imagery appeared across the LED surfaces while lighting shifted to green tones and audio introduced environmental sounds.
The sequence altered the visual and acoustic atmosphere of the installation within a short period of time.
Installation on the Exhibition Floor
During the event, visitors gathered around the pedestal to interact with the cube and observe the changes across the installation.
Videos and photographs of the booth were shared on social media during the exhibition, and the installation generated interest from visitors and industry professionals.
Strategic Direction
Through this installation, mld presented an example of its work combining event technology, media systems, and interactive environments.
Patrick Haag, Head of Marketing at mld, explains:
“Our goal was not simply to showcase technology, but to create an experience that makes our entire range of capabilities visible and tangible. The installation combines solution expertise, creative engineering and integrated media design — with the ambition to realize ideas that audiences have never seen before.”
