Holiday Store Windows Around the World, 2012 to 2014

Women's Wear Daily

The holiday season is often considered a magical and fun time, a period when some hopes and wishes can be fulfilled either in the presents received or just through the act of giving.

ItÂ’s an opportunity too for retailers and brands to show how theyÂ’re looking at the holiday period during any given point in time. Here is a selection of holiday windows around the world, from 2012 to 2014.

The selection is an eclectic mix, representing the fun and humorous from Barneys New York and Ted Baker, a store front shopping look from Christian Louboutin, and a Brooks Brothers window celebrating 10 years of finding cures for kids by St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. There are also the holiday frocks showcased from Saks Fifth Avenue and Louis Vuitton, as well as the exhortation from Selfridges to “Follow That Dream.”

The photos are part of the archives made available from WindowsWear Pro.

WindowsWear has an archival collection of select fashion windows and visual displays dating back to 1931. The collection provides retailers, designers, brands and creative professionals with photos for competitive research, inspiration and trend ideas over the years as they look to create visuals for todayÂ’s store windows.
